Let’s face it, not all work is as fun and rewarding as we hoped. Most of us need an office job to supplement the fun work we do as secret shoppers for BARE International!

Here we’ve shared an article by Anjum Seth for India Times to help you get through the days you’re not on a BARE India assignment…

‘Going to office is a huge stress buster for me’, said no one ever! While some of us may love the daily routine of formal wear, cabs, meetings, and coffee, a majority of India’s workforce are certified cribbers, who would rather spend their time doing nothing than going to office. To all those who kept promising that the world will get better after college- I have news for you. Adulting is no fun. Majority of a millennial’s time is spent in long hours at work, which can get quite stressful for the young souls. So, if you’re one of those unfortunate ones who spends most of his/her life at work under the watchful eye of the boss, here are some fun ways to finally be able to breathe and de-stress.

Yoga, unlike gymming, can be done anywhere, anytime. So, whether you’re in your conference room waiting for a meeting to start, or in your cabin, just dim those lights, chuck those shoes and meditate.

3. Quick 5 min. workouts

Indulge in some quick 5 minute workouts at the comfort of your seat, and see the difference. By the end of a week, you will feel your body becoming stronger, healthier and sexier.  It’s just 5 minutes you guys, devote it to your health and mind.

4. Shut Eye

Our eyes bear the maximum stress of our day to day lives. At home, our smartphones don’t let us live, and at work, it is our laptop. So, indulge in 5-10 seconds of shut-eye every hour to release the pressure on your eyes, and de-stress.

5. Less Caffeine-More Water

It’s a common perception that coffee helps you focus more, perform better and stay alert, but on the contrary, it’s doing the exact opposite. While the caffeine boost may seem to help reduce stress at first, it may also push you to move too fast and too furious which can ultimately kill your performance. The better alternative, the good ‘ol water. Fill up your water bottles and indulge in meaningful conversations at the water cooler at your workplace. This will not only reduce stress but might develop meaningful relationships too.’
