A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BARE INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER

We interviewed three of BARE India’s Project Managers to see what their day-to-day looks like! Read on to see what it takes to juggle multiple projects and work with hundreds of people throughout the BARE community!

WHAT TIME DID YOU WAKE UP?

VIDHI: 9.00 a.m.

SANAM: 7.30 a.m.

ANKIT: 5.15 a.m.

HOW DID YOU TAKE YOUR COFFEE?

VIDHI: I don’t drink coffee!

SANAM: I also don’t drink coffee.

ANKIT: I take green tea…

WHERE DID YOU SPEND YOUR DAY?

VIDHI: In the office.

SANAM: Here in the office today.

ANKIT: I played badminton this morning, followed by 9 hours in the office then home to rest!

WHO DID YOU SEE/CALL TODAY?

VIDHI: My mom 🙂

SANAM: I called my girlfriend!

ANKIT: My friends who play badminton with me…

PROVIDE AN EXAMPLE OF ONE CLIENT INTERACTION YOU ENCOUNTERED TODAY?

VIDHI: I spoke with Five Guys.

SANAM: Adidas – for a location query.

ANKIT: I spoke with Max Fashion for a set up discussion.

AS OF TODAY, HOW MANY SHOPS DO YOU HAVE TO GET COMPLETED THIS MONTH?

VIDHI: 36.

SANAM: All of them!

ANKIT: 6.

IT’S 12 P.M. …WHAT ARE YOU UP TO NOW?

VIDHI: Currently completing my day-to-day tasks.

SANAM: I’m finishing a client set-up and getting all the projects live for the month.

ANKIT: Sending reports to clients.

WHAT DID YOU ACCOMPLISH?

VIDHI: I got a new agreement signed for more evaluation for Five Guys in Hong Kong.

SANAM: I achieved a handover of a project to our Singapore branch.

ANKIT: Sourcing/recruiting evaluators for an ACCOR project.

HOW MANY EVALUATORS FORGOT TO DO A SHOP FOR YOU?

VIDHI: 4.

SANAM: 0.

ANKIT: 1.

DID YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC, IF SO WHAT?

VIDHI: Yes! EDM…

SANAM: Yes, Trans and EDM.

ANKIT: Yes, EDM, classic rock, old English rock & contemporary electronic music, Rap.

EXPLAIN SOME DETAILS SURROUNDING A CLIENT REPORT YOU CREATED TODAY?

ANKIT: I had a discussion around parameters where a store can get points to increase their customer interaction for MAX fashion!

WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY?

VIDHI: Positive client satisfaction 🙂

SANAM: The day started nice and early.

ANKIT: I had constructive discussion with a client which helped them to understand how to improve their store worker’s interaction with customers.

WHAT WAS THE WORST PART OF THE DAY?

VIDHI: Evaluator flakes…

SANAM: It’s going to end late!

ANKIT: A tracker was not updated by my colleague and I have to work on her behalf now!

WHAT IS A COMMON QUESTION THAT YOU GET FROM EVALUATORS ON A DAILY BASIS?

VIDHI: A payment query.

WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EVALUATOR?

VIDHI: To read and follow guidelines and provide detailed reports.

SANAM: To take Mystery Shopping seriously.

ANKIT: Read the guidelines and respect the timelines while taking all evaluations seriously.
